It's Alive!!!!! Peabody Essex Museum

Some of the amazing items at It's Alive! at the Peabody Essex Museum. The art was amazing, extremely well displayed and included a lot of various media. This media included video clips from a few of the horror/sci fi movies, posters and teasers from various 1930's horror movies (Nosferatu, Dracula, Frankenstein) and more recent 1970s poster art, paint by number child art of Bella Lugosi, Frankenstein and Swamp Thing toys, a 1955 Revenge of the Creature Gill man prop mask, and much, much, more! I don't want to spoil it all....go see it!!!

I especially liked the interwoven video interviews with Kirk Hammett. I quickly realized how much we had in common! In one interview he said "I definitely related more to the monsters, villains, and the creatures and the mad doctors than I did to the heroes or the good guys"...."I was always different." I felt that way about myself growing up, and could not get enough of the horror/creepy comics too. His collection is extensive and I hope next year there will be an It's Alive 2! Again, it is a must see......go before Nov 26.
